Thanksgiving is the best day of the year because you get to eat a lot of food and then sit on the couch all day to watch the NFL. Some intriguing games, including a chance for the Detroit Lions to upset the Green Bay Packers and end their undefeated bid. We’ll see what unfolds, but here are the picks for week 12.
2011 Season: 47-37
Upset Alert: New York Giants (6-4) over the New Orleans Saints (7-3).

Analysis |
|
GNB -6.5 |
Green Bay Packers @ Detroit Lions |
Packers | The Packers are on the verge of something only one team has ever done, completing a season undefeated. The Detroit Lions will not stand in their way. They are playing some bad first half football and if they do that against the Packers, they won’t have a chance to catch up in the second half. Packers win, 35-27. |
|
DAL -7 |
Miami Dolphins @ Dallas Cowboys |
Dolphins | The Dolphins have been playing some great football as of late and I look for that to continue on Thanksgiving Day. They won’t win this game but it will come down to the very end. Cowboys win, 24-20. |
| BAL -3.5 |
San Francisco 49ers @ Baltimore Ravens |
Ravens |
The battle of the Harbaugh’s probably won’t end in a fist fight but will definitely consist of crushing blows for 60 minutes. The Ravens end up pulling this one out at home in the final minutes 27-21. |
|
Pick |
Arizona Cardinals @ St. Louis Rams |
Rams |
Steven Jackson has been an absolute beast this season and the Cardinals’ defense will not stop him this week. Jackson runs for over 100 with two TDs in a 27-14 romping of the Cardinals. |
|
NYJ -9 |
Buffalo Bills @ New York Jets |
Bills |
The Bills have been on the down slide and now Fred Jackson is out for the season. Ryan Fitzpatrick will lead the charge this week, but in a tough loss to the Jets, 28-21. |
|
CIN -7.5 |
Cleveland Browns @ Cincinnati Bengals |
Bengals |
The Bengals are coming off two tough losses against two great opponents. They look to rebound this week against the lowly Browns. Cincinnati does it in style this week, 31-17. |
|
HOU -3.5 |
Houston Texans @ Jacksonville Jaguars |
Texans |
The Texans lost Matt Schaub but still have Arian Foster and Andre Johnson at their disposal. Jaguars don’t have enough fire power to keep up with the Texans. Jaguars lose a tough one, 24-10. |
|
CAR -3 |
Carolina Panthers @ Indianapolis Colts |
Panthers |
The Colts are still terrible and I will never pick them to cover the spread. Panthers win on the legs of Cam Newton, 31-17. |
|
TEN -3 |
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Tennessee Titans |
Titans |
Titans have impressed as of late and Chris Johnson has got to get it going at some point this season, why not this week? Titans win a tight knit battle 17-13. |
|
ATL -9.5 |
Minnesota Vikings @ Atlanta Falcons |
Vikings |
The Falcons have been playing well as of late but the Vikings haven’t been playing too bad themselves. Vikings hang tight in this barn burner in Atlanta, 27-23. |
|
OAK -4.5 |
Chicago Bears @ Oakland Raiders |
Bears |
The Bears have been playing well but with the loss of Jay Cutler, everyone is calling their season waste. I think this Bears’ defense will rise out of the mountains and sore like they did in the 80s. Bears defense devours Carson Palmer, 24-21. |
|
SEA -4 |
Washington Redskins @ Seattle Seahawks |
Redskins |
The Seahawks and Redskins are two terrible teams but Washington hung in with the Cowboys last week. I expect them to beat the Seahawks pretty handily this week, 21-10. |
|
NWE -3 |
New England Patriots @ Philadelphia Eagles |
Patriots |
The Patriots have been on a roll and the Eagles are desperate for wins, so this should be a great game. The Patriots pull it out in the end with a late score, 24-17. |
|
SGD -6 |
Denver Broncos @ San Diego Chargers |
Chargers |
The Chargers are desperate and with all the controversy surrounding Elway and Tebow this should be an easy win to grab. Tebow plays terrible as usual and finally loses, 31-17. |
|
PIT – 10.5 |
Pittsburgh Steelers @ Kansas City Chiefs |
Steelers |
Chiefs are really bad without Cassel and their defense isn’t helping them out any. Steelers take this one with ease, 28-3. |
| NOR -7 |
New York Giants @ New Orleans Saints |
Giants |
The Saints have been good but they haven’t been that good. I do not know they are do heavily favored over the Giants this week. Giants bounce back and steal this one from the Saints on Monday night, 31-28. |

You pick the rams (and sing their praises ) yet dis seattle at home against a really horrible redskins team. Did you look at last weeks results? Seahawks by 10. Write that down.
